Junior Seekers

Most Sundays, Junior Seekers meet in the Parish Hall at 5:30 pm for fun, fellowship and spiritual development.  For these meetings, our associate rector, the Rev. Alan Gates, and other Youth Ministers center discussion around a different topic each week, relevant and important to the current challenges and developments that face those in Junior High/Middle School.  Junior Seekers also incorporates community service activities, field trips to other faith communities, movie nights, and fun outings to support the spiritual journey. Junior Seekers is a vibrant and energetic group whose members are visibly active in the church. Many serve as acolytes and readers during the worship service, and they often volunteer to aid the nursery and church school. On several occasions, the group has served as host for the Home and Hope group, formally known as Interfaith Hospitality Network, and on multiple occasions has sung Christmas carols for seniors at the San Carlos Elms. The Junior Seekers program thrives in large part thanks to a co-op of lay youth ministers who volunteer in cooperation with the associate priest for program and event planning, mentoring and youth advocacy. Afterwards, our senior Seekers join our Junior Seekers to share a meal.

Seekers

Most Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm, our high school students join our middle school students for dinner.  Afterward, our Seekers meet for fun, games, spiritual reflection and development.
